Sneak Peek: Meeting Table

Thursday, March 13, 2014

As many of you know, A LA CRATE is moving to a new space in the near future! We are SO excited about the new space and couldn't wait another second to share a little sneak peek of what to expect at our new digs. Jeff is hard at work transforming a large industrial stacking CRATE (very apropos, no?) from a metal stamping factory into a table for us to meet with our fantastic clients. The crate measures 3ft. wide by 4ft. long by 3ft. tall. It will have a custom table top, built by Jeff, that will display books and other sources of inspiration, for your perusal, to get those creative juices flowing. The matching stools we found will make it easy for everyone to congregate around the table and discuss all the cool ways you can use our rentals!

Table Design: Urban Foodie

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

In the past we've shared with you table designs we've created such as MadLove and more recently, Rocky Mountain Rustic. From this weekend, we'd love to share with you the table we designed called "Urban Foodie" for the Wedding Planner and Guide Winter Bridal Show.

Giving Thanks

Thursday, November 21, 2013

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is time to start thinking about your Grandma's gravy recipe, seeing your favorite cousins and, of course, how to decorate your table! A LA CRATE was recently featured on NBC 15 where we showcased some of our favorite products for beautifying your home during the holidays.

Inspiration to Reality

Jackson Hole Wyoming

We were asked to design a vignette, inspired by a region of the country, for The Bridal Show at Overture. We had just seen stylist Amber Whitehouse's sister's beautiful Wyoming wedding (http://elybrothers.com/kevin-faith/) and thought it was jaw-dropping! What if we did a Rocky Mountain themed display and incorporated our harvest tables, fireplace mantel and bought some cozy rugs, etc. to bring it to life?! We loved that idea and brought Amber on board to help us out. Just like our MadLove display (http://alacratevintage.com/blog/mad-love) from January 2012 where we used napkins for the inspiration…for this display we used this photo taken by Larry Johnson of Jackson Hole, Wyoming for inspiration. Every decision always came back to this one photo. Now, how do we bring this photo to life?
